Bridges To Buenos Aires is the latest concert release from The Rolling Stones' archive. The full-length show from their five night sell-out residency at the River Plate Stadium in Argentina's capital city has been restored in full and features a very special guest appearance from Bob Dylan on Like A Rolling Stone. Filmed on April 5th 1998, by this point, the band had played to over two million people on the first two legs of the tour in North America and Japan. On Limited Color 3LP set.
In a world chock full of flame-outs, coulda-been contenders and great white hopes, the band Jonathan Fire*Eater are among the 'almost-est.' Widely praised as the mid-Nineties next-big-thing, they are largely credited with being the earliest purveyors of the 'New York City Rock and Roll Revival' circa 2001. Which would be great, if only the band hadn't imploded by 1998.The quintet employed a fresh, one-of-a-kind blend of sly rock and roll reference and reverence. Their press release at the time name-dropped all the correct and relevant influences... The Stooges, the Modern Lovers, Tom Waits, the Scientists, ? and the Mysterians, the Cramps, Nation of Ulysses, the Stones, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds... all markers conveying the point that Fire-Eater's dark, brooding overtones are complemented by springy Farfisa tones and impressionistic, evocative lyrics. The band was inarguably in top form with the 1996 EP release of Tremble Under Boom Lights. Mean and lean at only five tracks, those songs click together perfectly, enough so to kick-start a major label bidding frenzy which found the band signing a lucrative, seven-figure contract. Showcasing lead singer Stewart Lupton's redolent exercises in picturesque poetry, coupled with Matt Barrick's inimitable percussive attack, Paul Maroon's wide, unadorned guitar blistering throughout while Walter Martin's choice, deliberate organ accompaniment and Tom Frank's propulsive, bottom-heavy bass all join together for a full, beautiful, glorious masterpiece.Lead-off track 'The Search For Cherry Red' would not only provide the EP with a title via it's lyrics, but would also see a second life as covered by esteemed rock-and-rollers The Kills. 'Give Me Daughters' is enviable for the perspective it foresees, when taking into consideration it's narrator was barely 21 years old at the time. Songs flit about cockfights, open caskets, ballroom gowns, switchblades, motorcycle accidents and jewel thieves all to propel the record into a world of juvenile delinquent attitude and vivid cinematic color. For the Japanese release of Tremble Under Boom Lights, the five-song running order was accentuated with four bonus tracks... three songs from the band's 1995 debut single and a spritely cover of the Lee Hazelwood gem 'The City Never Sleeps.'With the 2019 reissue, Third Man Records is proud to make these seminal songs available digitally and on vinyl for the first time in over two decades. All parties involved are beyond overjoyed to augment the running order of the Japanese version of Tremble Under Boom Lights to include the bonus track 'In the Head.' Touted by the band members as the last song they ever recorded, it is wincingly brilliant, the most artful, dudes-in-their-early-twenties version of a swan song that one may ever hear.

Promising to be one of the most ambitious projects in metal history, BLIND GUARDIAN’s upcoming release will be well worth the wait. The idea of recording an orchestral album originally formed in the minds of the two leading lights of the BLIND GUARDIAN universe - guitarist André Olbrich and singer Hansi Kürsch - during the 1990s when BLIND GUARDIAN started to use orchestral elements to enhance their opulent sound. Today, they reveal the album's amazing cover artwork, which was created by the renowned artist Gyula Havancsák.
Hip-hop influenced electronic innovators Hermitude have worked tirelessly to carve out a special nook in the music scene. The duo’s album Pollyanarchy is a reflection on finding clarity in the chaos. The multi-instrumentalist duo, Luke Dubber (aka Luke Dubs) and Angus Stuart (aka El Gusto), have collaborated since they were 16 and 11, respectively. A sonic cross-continental experience, Mummer Love is the second album in the Perfect Vision triptych collaboration between Soundwalk Collective with Patti Smith. As with the other albums in the triptych, the Collective searched for hidden, earthy sounds that hold memories and embed existence. They journeyed to Africa to explore the intricacies of Arthur Rimbaud's most obscure period and spent time with the Sufi group of Sheikh Ibrahim to record their music and chants in the shrine. The album, which also features guest contributions from Phillip Glass and Mulatu Astatke, transcends what we think we see, by multiplying experiences, languages and energies.

On November 8, Universal Pictures will be releasing the film LAST CHRISTMAS. Starring Emilia Clarke (Game Of Thrones) and Henry Golding (Crazy, Rich Asians), directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and co-written by Oscar winner Emma Thompson (who also stars in the film), the film was inspired by the lyrics to Wham!’s “Last Christmas” and George in general and Thompson presented the project to him and secured his blessing before he passed on Christmas day 2016. The film opens with the entirety of “Last Christmas” and features a total of 15 George Michael and Wham! songs synched strategically throughout the film including an unreleased song “This Is How (We Want You To Get High)” that is the end-title track. While not about George or his life, the film is inspired by him and there are references to George throughout. This offers an amazing opportunity to create an enormous amount of nostalgia for and consumption for those who grew up with George and, more importantly, introduce him to a brand new audience as this film has been generating a massive amount of buzz and will be one of Universal’s priority releases for the holiday season.
THE GOOD ONES renown is evidenced by the stellar musicians who collaborated with them on their new album: Wilco’s Nels Cline, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe, Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker, My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields, and Fugazi’s Joe Lally. In 2009, Grammy-winning producer Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott) traveled to Rwanda in search of local music with his Italian-Rwandan wife, filmmaker and photographer, Marilena Delli. After two weeks of crisscrossing the country and listening to countless artists, they met THE GOOD ONES.
For The THE GOOD ONES’ new album, Rwanda, You Should Be Loved, bandleader Adrien Kazigira composed over forty songs. The recording was done live without overdubs on Adrien’s farm in Rwanda. Since they live without electricity and have had little access to devices to reproduce musical recordings, THE GOOD ONES’ vocalizations are based on the singing traditions and dialect of their local immediate, agricultural district more than by outside and Western influences. Primary songwriter Adrien Kazigira interweaves intricate harmonies with co-singer, Janvier Havugimana, in a style frequently referred to as “worker songs from the streets.” With the musicians rural and remote hilltop origins, the harmonic similarities to American Bluegrass vocals is often eerie. Third member, Javan Mahoro, lends additional background vocals and percussion on select songs. From the moment he laid eyes on them, Brennan said he knew, “What these guys do is precious and rare. Don’t f*** it up!”
THE GOOD ONES formed the band as a healing process after the Rwandan genocide, which marks its 25th anniversary in 2019. The band will be touring in the US for the first time this Fall, playing dates with Glen Hansard in the North West and performing at bookshops nationwide along with producer Ian Brennan, as he travels the US speaking about his latest book “Silenced By Sound.”
The much anticipated debut album by Giant Swan, the brainchild of Robin Stewart & Harry Wright; an acerbic marriage of energised, aggressive dance music, quaking bass and hypnotic electronic noise. Across a table of machines and pedals, incorporating abused guitar and liberal vocal manipulation, Giant Swan create a cross-breed of hypnotic bass, industrial percussion and disorientating energy delivered with telepathic intricacy.
With strong ties to Bristol’s deep musical heritage, Giant Swan are a maelstrom of potential energy, bleeding between several sonic movements that both obliterate and invigorate. Building on a foundation of rhythmic tension and frenzied improvisation, no two performances are the same as the duo re-build and destroy their twisted vision of techno-not-techno.
Steadily assembling an arsenal of heavy hitting releases on Howling Owl (2015), FuckPunk (2016), Timedance (2017), Mannequin (2018) and most recently Whities (2018), their recorded output has been sculpted and refined into consummate snapshots of the unrivalled, ecstatic energy they fire from the stage through raw improvisation. Relentless touring of DIY circuits as well as festival stealing performances at the likes of Unsound and Atonal has seen their reputation take flight as an unstoppable force in live electronic music.
Quiet Riot is a rock n roll phenomenon. Widely known as the first heavy metal band to top the US pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monstrous smash hit 1983 album, Metal Health. That album topped the Billboard album charts for several months and the follow up album, Condition Critical went double platinum. The band has continued to record and tour throughout their 30 + year history. Musically, the new album offers exactly what you would expect from QUIET RIOT. Arena ready hard rock with strong hooks and infectious riffs, along with a maturity in the songwriting that only a band with such a history and pedigree can offer.
Atlantæum Flood is a unique instrumental five-piece collective featuring Marty Willson-Piper (ex- The Church and All About Eve). Ranging from subtle ethereal moments with dreamy 12-string guitars to dynamic, powerful intensity with soaring lead lines against a percussive backdrop, the eight track release is a beautifully cohesive and considered cinematic soundscape. Atlantæum Flood is Steve & Lynne Knott, Marty & Olivia Willson-Piper and Dare Mason

A Godfather figure is understood to be a purveyor of genre; a pioneer in a particular realm of creation. Perhaps more importantly, and after over 3 decades molding the Hardcore realm, AGNOSTIC FRONT have protected and nurtured Hardcore music in such a way that it still exists healthily & in its proper form, today. As a band that has cultivated their reputation with honesty, and that prioritizes affirming their social messages to the world, “GET LOUD!” is well suited as the title for their 12th, full length studio album. For such a memorable album, the reappearance of “Cause for Alarm” artist Sean Taggart was vital in order to deliver a piece of art that perfectly combined the old school with the current state of the world. Bringing the “Cause for Alarm” characters back to life in a new age, the artwork will be familiar to AGNOSTIC FRONT fans the world over, but still maintains a modern freshness. When “Cause for Alarm” was initially released in 1986 it was a distinguished and prosperous time for the world of Hardcore, and it is that time, and that vibe, that this album aspires to reassert.
Mono formed in Tokyo, Japan in the closing winter weeks of December, 1999. They played their first live shows at the top of the new millennium, and released their first album, Under The Pipal Tree, in 2001. Recorded live in one day on a razor-thin budget, Pipal Tree was an earnest introduction to the curious magic of a band that would eventually become synonymous with monstrously dynamic, contemporary classical rock music. To commemorate those austere beginnings - and celebrate their remarkable longevity - Mono revisit three of their earliest songs, and retrofit them with speaker-destroying upgrades. Anchored by the towering 16-minute noise opus, "Com(?)", Before The Past Live From Electrical Audio shows the evolution of Mono's execution, stripping away the strings and layers of guitar overdubs to show just how massive this band can be at their most instrumentally austere. Newly recorded in one day in 2019 with longtime collaborator, Steve Albini - and mixed by Albini with Temporary Residence founder, Jeremy deVine - Before The Past is as much a declaration of the present as it is a document of the past. These songs, which are now 20 years old, feel more powerful and profound than ever - a testament to Mono's enduring dedication to their craft, and their dogged exploration of maximum minimalism.
M.T. Hadley has been praised for his thoughtful introspection and candid lyricism, which shine a light on the darker parts of life and encourage us to accept the duality of everything. His debut album, Empty, is nine songs in the key of accepting pain. He cites as influences classic songwriters like Joan Armatrading, Scott Walker and Todd Rundgren, alongside contemporary pop artists such as Ed Sheeran. Empty, he says, is how people often feel. He hopes the record makes listeners feel worse, and then better, because he doesn't think anybody can ever feel better without first feeling worse. M.T. Hadley has crafted a hopeless pop masterpiece that finds inspiration in the void with an air of timelessness.

In country music, a last name like LeDoux casts a big, storied and bittersweet shadow, but it's one Ned LeDoux doesn t mind standing in one bit. Having been a drummer in his dad Chris' band Western Underground since 1998, Ned knew from an early age that he had 'no plan b' but to play music, 'Once I got the taste of the road, and being in front of a crowd and just the sound of it, it was...freedom.'
A little danger makes rock music memorable. Tapping into the spirit of rebelliousness, Otherwise embrace nonconformity on their fifth full-length album, Defy, available November 8th through Mascot Records. Since their self-titled independent debut in 2006, Otherwise’s quiet grind elevated the group to the forefront of 21st century rock. Enlisting the help of producer Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Hollywood Undead, Memphis May Fire, From First To Last, The Word Alive), Otherwise hold nothing back on the new album. They made it a point to push the boundaries of their signature style in terms of both song craft and sonic experimentation alike. In the end, Otherwise do the most dangerous thing possible and uproot all expectations. The transparent vinyl includes a code for a complimentary MP3 download of the album.
The most notorious black metal band of all times is back! By the power of darkness and the might of black-hearted will no two Mayhem albums have been or will be the same. Thus, the newest offering Daemon is unto itself. Its not the next chapter but rather the next tome in Mayhems authoritative oeuvre. Composed and decomposed with the same lineupNecrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Teloch (guitars), and Ghul (guitars)that handled Esoteric Warfare and performed De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in its entirety over the last few years, Daemon also isnt a retrofit of classic songs like Freezing Moon, Pagan Fears, or Buried by Time and Dust. Thats what the live album, De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive (2016), was for. Daemon is a chance for change, for new hells to be envisioned and offered.
